AMANDA HARTLEY
Moving from the east to the west coast at a young age offered me many opportunities which I embraced, ultimately developing my intuition into one that accepts the exciting unknown. Through learning to play Celtic harp from the age of five and then becoming a performing member of Harpistry harp choir for many years I learned the importance of teamwork and harmony. In my Associate of Arts degree I specialized in Art History and Psychology which provided me with knowledge that I continuously draw from while designing. In addition, travelling has aided as a great educator in all aspects of life, shaping my sensibility. The initial stages of design provide strength and power that defines the unpredictable which is why I came to love and embrace all realms it has to offer. Every form and every space start from nothing, and can grow into something that is unique from all perspectives.
