Historical context/why we care
Parc Guell is a public park designed with gardens and architectural elements throughout the park. The park was assigned to Antoni Gaudi to design as Eusebi Güell wanted the park to reflect urbanization. The design of the park reflects the exploration that Gaudi went through experimenting and perfecting natural and organic form. The park intended to house high-tech homes that would create a community, which is a large symbol seen throughout the park. The housing initiative ended up failing and only two houses ended up being completed. Since then the park became a municipal garden welcoming visitors to explore the peace and calm that is found within the park.
