After our experiential trip in Barcelona and seeing all the amazing architectures, Gaudi's work stood out to me the most. He was an enthusiastic architect who dared to challenge nature and the existing environment while incorporating organic features into all of his works.
Palau Guell was the first architecture we visited that is done by Gaudi, and the spacial relationship between the exterior and interior was phenomenal. There were various intricate designs on the floors, ceilings, columns and window frames. It was both fascinating and breathtaking to learn about the history behind the building and the family that once lived in the space. Each rooms in Palau Guell gave out a unique atmosphere which adds to the characteristics of the space. Below are some sketches of featured elements that can be found in different areas in Palau Guell.
